IT company Cheops goes for premium image

At the start of this year, Cheops moved into this building in the new Gate 7 Business Park in Kontich.

Located along the Prins Boudewijnlaan, the site is strategically close to the E19, A12 and the Antwerp ring road. The building is a true eye-catcher - not only outside, but also inside. Director Managed Services Kenny Dierickx and Facility Manager Stephan Hellemans are clearly proud when they show us around. On the ground floor there is a beautiful customer area featuring a reception desk, meeting rooms and a real auditorium, as well as a well-equipped fitness room. On the other side of the building you can find the 'Talent Factory', where new employees are welcomed and training takes place. The offices themselves are located on the upper floors.

Stylishly decorated

The stylish interior, which at first glance seems somewhat unusual for an IT service provider, fits 100% with the vision of the company, explains Kenny Dierickx. "Our customers - medium-sized to large companies - can approach us for proactive and high-quality IT services in the field of Cloud, Cyber Security and the so-called Modern Workplace. We partially or fully take over their IT management and ensure increased productivity and business continuity. This enables our customers to fully focus on their business and what is strategically important to them, such as accelerated growth, increased profitability, improved security of business-critical data or a faster time-to-market. It is our ambition to excel at what we do. So, our building also needed to have that premium look."

In total, more than 370 people are working for Cheops, spread across the subsidiaries in Kontich, Ghent and Zaventem. And the company is planning to recruit 80 to 100 new employees this year. Cheops is strongly committed to employee welfare, and an innovative workplace is an essential part of this. " So, you can easily consider our new head office as an extra asset to be able to offer this to our employees," Stephan Hellemans adds. "The bottled water coolers that we used to use obviously do not fit in the new interior. So, we went in search of an efficient and stylish solution. AQUALEX was actually the only company that could offer exactly what we were looking for. And there is also a match from a business point of view: they focus heavily on quality and innovation, just like we do at Cheops."

Eye-catchers

At the reception and in the Talent Factory, the gold-coloured designer taps from AQUALEX are the central eye-catchers. On the other floors, the various coffee corners and the Cheops Café are fitted with Fine Touch faucets. Not only have the reactions of customers and staff been very positive, and more water is being drunk than ever before, but the changeover has also proved to be very interesting from a logistical point of view. "It is very convenient to work with a system that never runs out of water. We no longer have to replace heavy and unpractical water bottles. Now it's just a CO2 cartridge that gets empty."

And we haven't even mentioned the sustainability aspect yet. "That is, obviously, stating the obvious," Stephan says. "As a company, we invest extensively in this aspect: for example, we installed smart ecological lightning, we are greening our fleet of more than 300 company cars and our ISO 27001-certified data centres are powered by green electricity."

At Cheops they are very happy with the cooperation with AQUALEX. One of the plus points they mentioned was AQUALEX's quotation system. We also noticed the clear communication during the rest of the process", says Stephan Hellemans
