All Twin taps require the provision of hot and cold tap water. The hot tap water does not originate from the AQUALEX device. After tapping a certain amount of sparkling, cold or hot water, it is sufficient to take a short break in order to have the water of your preference available again. After instantly tapping 1 litre of sparkling water from Family devices, a few seconds of patience will suffice to be able to tap another litre. With Professional devices, you can even tap 3 litres of sparkling water in a single tap.

After instantly tapping 0.8 litres of hot water (95C) from the Family devices, you can have full hot water again after a waiting period of a few minutes. It is possible to tap more than 0.8 litres at once, but then the temperature will decrease. With the Professional devices, you can tap 5 litres at once, after which the temperature will also decrease.

By the way, there is no need to worry about annoying hot water accidents: a double safety button guarantees safe use and avoids children from getting burned, for example.

AQUALEX filters are NSF401 certified, ensuring the removal of impurities down to 0.2 μm. This means that our filters meet the highest standards for removing harmful substances from your water. For the hot water taps we are going one step further and a Pentair Claris Ultra filter will be fitted. This innovative filter technology is the only one in the world that effectively reduces water hardness, stabilises minerals and controls corrosion. In this way, the filter also maintains the acidity level (ph) and provides crystal clear water without fluctuations in iron or lime. Perfect for hot water applications!

The home devices are adjusted in such a way that a maximum of 1 litre of sparkling water can be tapped in a single session. After that, it is recommended to wait 10 seconds for the next litre. The Professional devices allow you to tap 3 litres of sparkling water in one tap.

If more water is tapped, the device will fail and it is possible that only CO2 will leave the device.

If this happens, all you have to do is wait a bit. Then you can operate the device again. Please take the 1-litre limit into account.

• To clean your AQUALEX tap, it is best to use Eres Sani-Net original, a citric acid-based bathroom cleaner. The best product for cleaning taps!
• First apply the cleaning agent to a cloth or sponge, not directly to the tap. Rub in the tap and allow the product to soak in for a few minutes. Do not let the product dry out; this can cause indelible stains. Do not use a scouring pad. This can damage your tap.
   
• After cleaning, rinse thoroughly with clean water. Make sure that no cleaning agent is left behind.
• Dry the tap thoroughly after cleaning.

• How do I remove limescale from the tapping point?

• Remove the tapping point from the tap and soak it in a dish of Eres Citro Descaler until the lime scale is gone. Then rinse the tap thoroughly and put it back on the tap.
• Both products contain citric acid. So, avoid splashing on marble and all other calcareous natural stone surfaces.
• The use of hydrochloric acid, acetic acid, chlorine or phosphoric acid is prohibited.
• Finally, it is of major importance that limescale is removed on a regular basis. Lime is very aggressive and will irreversibly damage the surface. The best way to tackle it is with the Eres products mentioned above. These are available available at your local supermarket.

AQUALEX notifies you when a maintenance needs to be scheduled. During a maintenance, the maintenance technician checks, cleans, descales and disinfects all parts of your drinking water system. In addition, the cooler is cleaned from the outside and any cupholder is refilled. An absolute must, certainly because safe and healthy drinking water is of the utmost importance for your health.

It is best to have your AQUALEX drinking water system serviced at least annually.

Why maintenance of your drinking water system is important?

Taste

Your drinking water system contains a water filter, which eliminates harmful substances, chlorine, dirt and bad odours, creating that delicious, pure taste of your drinking water. However, over time, the filter becomes saturated and its efficiency decreases. That is why it is recommended to replace it after one year. This way, you restore its optimal performance and ensure that your drinking water continues to taste delicious.

Hygiene

Your drinking water system is an important part of your diet and health. After all, you drink water on a daily basis, and often several times a day. That is why it is important to keep your system clean. Hygienic. Free of harmful bacteria and pathogens.

Longer lifespan

By maintaining your system, you are performing some kind of reset. You restore its optimal operation and efficiency. An additional benefit is that your system also lasts longer. Imagine you don't have it maintained regularly. Then the pump is not cleaned and the risk of it breaking down increases.

During a maintenance, the maintenance technician checks, cleans, descales and disinfects all parts of your drinking water system. In the process, he or she performs the following actions:

• Replacing the filter
• Disconnecting water points, removing drying residues and cleaning thoroughly
• Cleaning the drip tray
• Rinsing, cleaning, descaling and disinfecting the pipes
• Descaling and disinfecting the system
• Checking all parts
• Cleaning the outside so your tap looks like new again

The technician will draw up a maintenance report. You will receive it in your mailbox on the same day. We will also add it to your personal MyAqualex account.

Another practical bonus: the maintenance technician always has CO2 bottles with him or her that you can order straight away.

• Switch the device off, wait 5 seconds (reset) and switch it on again.

After tapping sparkling water, the tap or device may continue to drip. A few seconds after taking sparkling water, simply run still water.

5 seconds is sufficient.

It is the pressure of the gas that keeps the tap running for a short time after taking sparkling water. This is perfectly normal.

The maximum temperature of hot water is 97 degrees. The customer can choose a hot water temperature between 80 and 97 degrees.
