Drees & Sommer working with AQUALEX towards a more sustainable world
It all began in 1970 in Stuttgart when Gerhard Drees decided to set up a small engineering office. His colleague Hans Sommer and he never imagined that this small team consisting of three people would evolve into a top international company employing more than 4,500 people at 51 different locations. Ecological alternative
By the end of 2021, the offices had been renovated and expanded. So, it was important for the company to consider some options to reduce its long-term ecological footprint. "For example, we considered no longer ordering bottled water and opted for an ecological and sustainable alternative for our growing business." And at exactly that moment, AQUALEX met Drees & Sommer during a prospecting session. What a coincidence!
After an insightful initial conversation with the representative, it became clear that AQUALEX offered exactly what the company was looking for, a powerful water distribution system with a modern design suitable for the new and larger offices.
Modernity and sustainability
Drees & Sommer opted for metallic and black taps: Twin Touch Round, which fit perfectly into their surroundings and adds a dynamic and modern touch to stylish and practical kitchens. The company also opted for recyclable bottles for its staff and personalised glass bottles for the meeting rooms.
Everyone was instantly enthusiastic about this new concept after the installation, both about the principle and the taste of the water. Some colleagues were also persuaded and are even considering having this installed at their homes too. "Many Germans work for us and they drink a lot of sparkling water, so they in fact are demanding in terms of quality! And it looks like expectations have been more than exceeded."

Within a few months, we were already working with AQUALEX. In no time, all solutions were provided and all our questions were answered. And all of this happens in a relaxed way, especially when people, whether salespeople or technicians, come to our premises in Munsbach in Luxembourg."
