JDB Haarden en interieur turns cocooning into art
JDB Haarden en interieur from Rumst has been creating warm interiors for 60 years. Both literally and figuratively. Since the end of 2022, you can discover JDB's interior concepts in the brand-new experience showroom. Here, the products of partners including AQUALEX also show perfectly displayed.

JDB is a family business boasting a rich tradition: in 1962, stone mason Jos De Backer founded the company, son Frans De Backer took over and expanded their range to include fireplaces, stoves and enclosures, and for the past 3 years grandson Yagho De Backer has been in charge, going one step further. "Now JDB is all about total concepts. We create cosy spaces that invite you to relax. With a selection of top brands, quality materials and expert workmanship," sums up Saffo Roggen (operations manager).
The new strategy responds to the trend of people paying increasingly more attention to their interiors. "This all started during the corona period: people were forced to stay at home, looking for cosiness. As a result, even more than before, they are very consciously going for aesthetics, craftsmanship and quality."
Atmosphere creator and home maker
The fact that JDB is an atmosphere creator as well as a home maker is proven by the brand-new showroom, which first opened in September 2022. In the stylishly decorated rooms, you will find plenty of inspiration for your own home. "Here you can discover the high-quality materials we use and sense the expert workmanship. Here you can really experience our total concepts," says Saffo.
"We work with permanent partners with whom we can furnish our interiors from A to Z: from decorative painting, lighting, carpets and curtains to AQUALEX's designer taps. We also display the exclusive furniture collection by TEN Studio (by Elke Van Goel of TEN Architects) produced by JDB."
Comfort, sustainability and aesthetics
To JDB, AQUALEX taps represent the perfect blend of comfort, durability and aesthetics. "We had a habit of getting bottled water from the supermarket every week. To put an end to this, I was looking for a sustainable solution. It was architect Elke Van Goel who put us in touch with AQUALEX. We opted to install a designer tap AQUALEX Twin Touchpad in our coffee corner and bar. There, visitors can enjoy a coffee or a tasty glass of water. In my opinion, the tap is a fantastic product. Our visitors are also enthusiastic: they are always eager to inform about the possibilities of integrating the tap into their own homes."
Saffo is also thrilled about the partnership with AQUALEX. "The contact with our account manager is very personal and smooth; nothing is too much to ask.
