"Thanks to the AQUALEX tap, we drink a lot more water'
Els, Stijn and their daughters Juliette (8), Louise (10) and Margaux (13) Vandeweghe love action. As a result, they consume a lot of water, both at home and on the move. So, it's no surprise that the AQUALEX tap occupies a central place in the life of this family.

The family lives in a beautiful farmhouse that was largely rebuilt by Els and Stijn themselves. The outbuilding houses Stijn's office, who is a landscaper, and horse stables. When entering the house, you immediately feel: there are people living here who love good cooking (the AGA cooker proves this in the kitchen) and welcoming people. Two passions that Els will combine next summer in pop-up bar 'Les Copines'. "I attend night school at Spermalie; I am now in the penultimate year. With two girlfriends who also received cooking training, I am opening a pop-up bar in summer. Southern French cosiness, that's what we're going for. Our garden is perfect for that," Els says passionately. She will combine the pop-up with her full-time job in Stijn's business. "We are active people and simply love challenges in our lives," she laughs.
Their daughters are busy bees too: all three take diction classes and go to the Chiro club, Louise follows ballet and dance, Juliette also dances and Margaux loves horse riding and trips with friends. When at home, they like to be outside, with the rabbits, chickens, the Flemish horse and the pony.
Real sparkling water drinkers
Drinking plenty of water fits into that active lifestyle. "We are true water drinkers: we drink at least 2 litres of sparkling water with our meals. When we built our kitchen, we opted for a regular tap. But we had to drive to the beverage store every 2 weeks to buy sparkling water. And in summer, we couldn't get the bottles chilled fast enough. After two years, we decided to make the switch to an AQUALEX tap anyway."
And they don't regret that decision, quite the contrary. "The AQUALEX tap makes it extremely easy to tap water. As a result, we are all less inclined to drink soft drinks. I am convinced that we are drinking much more water than if we were still using bottles. We regularly receive people, and then it is great that we can offer sparkling water, still cold water and still water at room temperature. We are all real sparkling water drinkers ourselves; at home we only drink sparkling water." Margaux adds: "The water is cold and fizzes well when it comes out of the tap; it really tastes good." The girls tap still water to fill their drinking bottles, before leaving for school or hobbies. "The water stays nice and fresh all day, without any bad smells," says Els.
Els and Stijn are also satisfied with the service provided by AQUALEX. "The technician who came over to install the tap clearly knew his stuff," thinks Stijn. Els quips: "So far, we haven't discovered any downsides. The only thing I have to think about is ordering extra CO2 bottles in time."
It is pretty clear: all family members are real AQUALEX ambassadors. "We already recommended the tap to quite a few people; my parents now have one too," says Stijn. And Juliette may be the youngest member of the family, but she is also the biggest AQUALEX fan. "Such a tap is convenient and the water is very tasty," she concludes enthusiastically.
